The moment that changed everything
It was 2005. I was 27 years old, sitting across from one of the most powerful leaders in the Middle East, having just been told that 12 government entities, the backbone of modern Dubai, needed to be transformed not in 2–3 years each, but in 6 months. All of them.
The room went cold. My career, my credibility, and the futures of millions of people in Dubai all felt like they were balanced on a knife’s edge.
And then the Director-General, H.E. Mohammad Al Gergawi, looked at us with a calm smile and said:
“I know you will succeed. I will not let you fail.”
In that moment, something remarkable happened. The fear didn’t disappear, but it was held. And because it was held, we could work. We went on to deliver one of the largest government transformation programs in history.

I spent 30 years at the center of radical transformation as an Advisor at the UAE Prime Minister’s Office, coaching hundreds of senior leaders, and earning a Master’s degree on the psychology of leaders and change at INSEAD, the world’s #1 business school. Manuscripts manages the crowdfunding platform and holds all funds. Should I not complete the programme, they will fully refund all backers. Individual refunds and changes to packages are assessed on an individual basis. The standing rule is: purchases are not refundable, they are transferable.
