About My Book

Time + Space = Breakthrough, at its core, provides an operating model for teams seeking to achieve consistent breakthroughs while pursuing major innovation. Yet leaving it at that would do the book an injustice. This operating manual will inform and entertain with anecdotes, interview content, research, and personal experience woven throughout.

My name is Patricia Prewitt, and I am the author of Time + Space = Breakthrough.

I hope, in reading this book, you will discover a way to unlock the potential of yourself, your team, and your organization, finding the rhythms for breaking through the inevitable challenges to achieving large-scale innovation. I hope to instill in you a sense of possibility while providing practical implementation tools to help you. Ultimately, I want to help you succeed in bringing our world to its amazing potential.

More About My Publishing Journey

My publisher (Manuscripts) gave me a publishing team to help me produce and launch my book. I am working with:

• A revisions editor, copy editor, and proofreader this winter to further hone my book (when you buy a copy during my presale, you’ll get early excerpts and access to earlier versions of my manuscript!)
• A marketing specialist to coach and support me in marketing efforts, and help me reach new audiences

About The Author

Patricia Prewitt, a former director at Google, co-founded and led one of Google X’s Artificial Intelligence moonshot projects, which sought to develop a tool capable of designing structures via an approach known as Inverse Design. The initial focus was in AI-enabled silicon photonic designs for datacenter applications. 

While at Google, prior to joining its illustrious moonshot factory, Patricia lived in Japan, establishing regional operations for the newly formed Asia-Pacific branch of Google’s creative agency-esque team. Two years later, she would establish a global training program for Google’s technical support organization, growing the program to multi-week onboarding and integration with a network of 50 international, volunteer instructors.

Patricia’s early career was just as multi-disciplinary, with multi-year experiences as a finance professional and private high-school faculty member, throughout which she could occasionally be found indulging her passion for performance in the chorus or small roles of professional opera companies. It was this multi-disciplinary experience combined with leading technical innovation and building high performing teams that inspired her to develop an operational model for fostering breakthroughs. Which she is now sharing with you!

In addition to writing, consulting, and currently wrangling Generative AI, Patricia is a huge fan of Star Trek and enjoys gathering groups to exchange ideas and expertise. She is an avid traveler and makes time for a wide range of educational opportunities, from Medical Botany to Screen Acting. Patricia has a B.A. in English from U.C. Berkeley along with numerous certifications.
